Color paint is usually composed of resin (base material), solvent, pigment and filler and a small amount of additives. In essence, the production process of color paint is to mix the solid particles of pigment and filler into the liquid paint to make it a uniform and fine suspension dispersion. The original particles of pigments and fillers are very small, but they are often bonded to each other to form aggregates in the process of processing, storage and transportation. The particle size of aggregates is large. Therefore, in the process of coating production, the aggregates should be removed from aggregation and stably and evenly dispersed in the paint. The better the dispersion of pigments and fillers, the higher the quality of color paint. The production process of general color paint includes four steps:
(1) Pre dispersion
It is called mixing for short. The pigments and fillers are mixed with part of the paint in a certain equipment to prepare the mixing color paste belonging to the semi-finished product of pigment color paste. The main equipment used is the equipment with mixer.
(2) Grinding dispersion
Color paste. Referred to as grinding, the pre dispersed mixed color paste is subdivided through the grinding and dispersion equipment to obtain the pigment
(3) Paint mixing
Also known as blending, the remaining base materials, other additives and dissolving are added to the developed pigment color, and color matching is carried out when necessary to meet the quality requirements of color paint. It is generally carried out in a paint mixer with stirring.
(4) Purification packaging
All kinds of impurities are removed through coating and mechanical filtration equipment.
